Many of my builds I have never been around a working machine, Over all I like the driver. My normal design process, is to see what is out there, look at pictures and videos, see what features I think I need and what makes it work It doesn' t fit in the reciever very well so at times I have to drive these old post by hand. I only had trouble with one style of fence post which is the old CF&I steel post. It works good and saves a lot of time and soreness the next few days.

I borrowed a driver from a neighbor and liked it so much I decided to get my own. A couple more miles of fence and I' ll be done and the post driver is definitely a mansaver. I' ve got a small compressor and it kept up with the tool with no problem. We did have to pound a few holes with an iron rod to break a rock or two, but after 4 hours and 30 poles set, I was a happy camper. But out of a day' s work, we set 30 posts without much of a problem. I' m not going to say that setting a t post with my new post driver is fault free, because it' s not. Getting 2 or 3 in the ground is considered a good day. In southwest Missouri, digging a hole is close to impossible, and sinking a t post by hand is not a easy chore.

  • 5 It' s a rocky road, but it works!.
  • This driver is a very welcome tool in my barn.

You have to check plumb to make sure you' re staying straight, but drives t-posts so much faster and easier than a manual driver. Put the driver to work as soon as I got it. To keep the post plumb I bought a $6.00 plastic post level and affixed it to the driver. I had to drive some post near some small fir trees, when I hit a root I would let it drive for about a minute and generally drove thru the root. This driver takes 90% of the work out of driving t-post. Posted by Blaine Sorenson on 2nd Apr 2013Īs I get older I realize that things that I used to easily do are now harder and take a lot more time to recover from.

I couldn' t have done the work without it. The MANSAVER is the best money i' ve spent in along time ,driving post that the 'other guys' tool would not drive!!!!!!! Thank you so much for making this VERY affordable tool!Įasyest way to drive post you will ever find next to hireing it done while you are on the beach having a Bloody Mary. I did it in less than an hour with this tool! I' ll also wake up tomorrow morning WITHOUT my back and shoulders hurting me. I just ran some fence that would have taken me better part of a morning driving the t-posts. This tool has definitely made this happen. Getting old is NOT for wimps! As I age, I still want to do the jobs around the farm myself and not hire out for them. I rate it as average because the only thing I can compare to is my hand driver. so I would think what little learning curve there is, has past. I have had the pounder 2 years now and have played with air pressures and even different compressors different operators & still the same outcome. And in rocky ground seams like even small rocks that you can hand drive past, stop it from driving tposts in. Unit works nice in soft soils, but mine hasn' t performed as well as I had hoped in hard packed soil.

Well worth the money! Just don' t let your neighbors find out you have one. A generator, 100 ft of airhose and a medium sized compressor and your set. I highly recommend their products over any of the gas powered types. I ,' ve set over 400 6ft t post without any problems what so ever. Posted by Rick Cvitanich on 11th Apr 2020īest investment I ever made! I,m surprised how well this placed t post in hard pan ground as well, even through juniper roots.
